Who's Who in the Crew:


Kelly-Lynn Chasse (Director, Steel Magnolias) Kelly has been studying theater since her freshmen year in high school and throughout her college career. She has directed, written, and choreographed many children's productions as an extra curricular activities drama teacher. She appeared as City Her in PCT's Gifts of the Magi, Carolyn, Dora, Beth, and Sarah in the Dining Room. She has directed PCT's Mousetrap and Plaza Suite. Recently, she was Production Manager for PCT's Godspell. Kelly is happy as president of Portsmouth Community Theater. Kelly is a Massachusetts certified history teacher and is currently attaining her Masters degree at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

Joe Wallace (Director, Art/ Yvan)

Alexander Zachoriah (Resident Stage Manager/ Production Assistant) This is Alexander's third show with PCT. Xander worked back stage during PCT's production of the Dining Room and was recently the Stage Manager for PCT's Godspell. In high school, he participated in the theater as a dancer. Xander has studied Music Education at the University of Rhode Island. He has recently decided to switch majors and will enter the Theater Management Program at URI in January.

Julie Blight (Stage Manager, Art) This is Julies first production with PCT. She is a recent graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst and holds a Bachelors of Art in Technical Theater. Her most recent productions include; Love's Labour's Lost as Assistant Stage Manager, Crossing Johnny at the Crossroads as the Electrician ans Run Crew, Julian Olf's award winning screen play's staged reading of Anthony as the Production Coordinator.

Laura Young (Director's Assistant, Steel Magnolias) Laura is currently a junior at Portsmouth High School. As an actress and singer, her past roles include a principal in Godspell, Princess Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress amd Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors. She has taken voice lessons with Kate Grana for three years amd recently attended the Musical Theater Summer Seminar at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Laura plans to pursue a career in Musical Theater in her future. This is her first experience working behind the scenes and she is very excited.

Coral Furtado (Stage Crew Manager/Universal Understudy, Steel Magnolias) Coral lives in Tiverton, RI. She has played Rizzo in Grease, Madame Tenardier in Les Miserables, and has appeared in many other plays at her high school. She recently appeared in PCT's Production of Godspell as an ensemble member and featured dancer. Coral takes voice, studying under Mrs. Kristine Johnson and gets pointers from her drama instructor, Judy Farley. Coral is currently a Junior at Tiverton High School and is happy to be working with the production team of Steel Magnolias. In college she plans on studying musical theater with hopes to attend Juilliard.

Jason Read (Technical Advisor/Voice of the DJ., Steel Magnolias) Jason is currenlty attending Syracuse University as a Technical Theater major to (hopefully) one day become a Broadway Lighting Designer. He had his directorial debut with PCT's Little Shop of Horrors. Favorite past roles include Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Oliver in Oliver, and Jesus in Godspell. "J" would like to thank his parents, Kelly, and Josh for helping him be where he is today.

Jamie Tarricone (Lighting and Sound Designer) Jamie has performed in PCT's Godspell playing bass guitar. He started playing dances, parties and clubs in the mid-sixties. He has done many R&R shows in and around New York City with "Cousin Bruce" Morrow of WABC radio. Military service intervened where he was able to play with the USO show around the states and many establishments in downtown Fairbanks, Alaska. Lately, he has been playing with the First Baptist "Old Stone" Church of Tiverton Praise Team, that churches' choir and bluegrass duo. He has performed in Godspell previously, The Fantasticks' and Jesus Christ Super Star for the Windham Theater Guild of Willimantic, CT. In his job, Jamie is the lead software engineer on the island at KVH Industries. Jamie also sits on the Board of Directors as a member at large.


Who's Who in the Cast

Alfred Dizon (Serge, Art) Al has been with PCT for two years. He acted in The Mousetrap as Christopher Wren, worked as Stage Manager (and back-up plant operator) for Little Shop of Horrors, and is happy to be back on stage for Art. He has also acted in The Desk Set, Inherit the Wind, and Macbeth. Al is currently 2nd Vice President on the Board of Directors for PCT.

Kevin Killavey (Marc, Art) Kevin has been an actor since childhood and has been seen in countless roles. His most notable of which are The Nerd in PCT's Going on a Cruise, The dentist in PCT's Little Shop of Horrors, Judas in PCT's Godspell, Petruchio in Newport Childrens Theater's Taming of the Shrew and Ho-Don in Portsmouth High School's MASH. Kevin is currently a student at Bristol Community College and is active in the theater department there as well.

Pamela Castro (Annelle, Steel Magnolias) This is Pamela's second production with PCT, following up her first performance as Jean McCormack last fall in Plaza Suite. Originally from Chicago, She moved here a little over a year ago from Arizona. She is an officer and health care administrator in the Navy and is stationed in Newport where she lives with her beloved dog, Payton. Payton playes the voice of Rhett in this production.

Raquel Digati (Ouiser, Steel Magnolias) Raquel is a semi-retired writer who currently resides in Bristol, RI. She has done many productions both in college and community theater including Plaza Suite with PCT. She is also the mother of Miss Bootchie Digati who portrays Rhett in the Chinquapin Parish Christmas Festival Poster on the set of the show. Bootchie is also her best audience, and her worst critic.

Paige Kane (Shelby, Steel Magnolias) We welcome Paige as this is her first performance with PCT! Her experience as a high school English teacher ignitied a long standing interest in performing. Paige studied acting at Brown University School of Continuing Education under Carlton Colyer. In her free time, Paige pecks away at her own original screenplay and enjoys time spent with her biggest fans, her hubby and her two amazing kids.

Kim Stamoulis (Truvy, Steel Magnolias) Kim is delighted to be back on the PCT stage. A lifelong resident of Aquidneck Island, Kim has appeared in PCT's production of The Mousetrap as Mollie, She appeared in various roles in PCT's version of the Dining Room, Jenny-Lee in PCT's Out of the Picture and Unexpected Broadway. Kim has also performed at the Newport Playhouse; her most recent roles include Chelsea in On Golden Pond, Ceilia in The Nerd and Linda in Wife Begins at Forty. She would like to thank her husband and parents for all of their support!

Linda Thomas (Clairee, Steel Magnolias) Linda studied acting at the Perishable Theatre Arts School in ProvidenceRhode Island with Wendy Overly. When not involved in theater, she has a psychotherapy practice in Wickford, RI. She has written several short plays and is married to playwright, David Christner. This is Linda's first appearance with PCT. She thanks the great cast and Kelly.

Katie vander Sleesen (M'Lynn, Steel Magnolias) Katie lives in Tiverton and works as the Director of Marketing for Vision III Architects in Providence, RI. This is Katie's second production with PCT. She played Della in PCT's production of Gifts of the Magi. Some of her other roles have inclused Electra in Electra, Sammy in A Small Family Business and Giggle Mouse in Can You Hear the Music for the Anglo- American Theatre Group in the Netherlands. She also appeared as Lady Brockhurst inThe Boyfriend for Fall River Little Theatre.
