Jason Read (Director)- is making his directorial debut with PCT's Little Shop of Horrors. A PCT board member he has been involved with six of the group's shows. He has appeared on stage in eleven musicals and five dramas, having most recently performed as Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Jason owns and runs the theatrical lighting and sound services company General Entertainment Media. He has worked on countless shows as lighting designer, tech director, sound engineer, and as other roles. His next production will be as lighting designer for Little Theater of Fall River's Over the River and Through the Woods in August. Break a leg everyone!
Arlene Cyr (Musical Director)- music has been a part of Arlene's life since high school. Her newly established business, the Ebony and Ivory Music Studio, has grown in two years to about 60 students, many of whom have recieved leads in various theater groups in the area as well as recieving awards in competitions. She teaches music at St. Peter & Paul School in Fall River and is choir director and organist for Blessed Sacrament Church also located in Fall River.
Alfred Dizon (Stage Manager)- has been living in Middletown since he was about five years old, and has been interested and participated in theatre since he was at Middletown High School. He's acted in The Desk Set (Richard Sumner), and Inherit the Wind (EK Hornbeck) and also in Macbeth (Young Siward) during his studies at URI, where he completed a degree in Computer Science. Al was more than happy to join PCT in the Fall 2000 during their production of The Mousetrap (Christopher Wren) and looks forward to working with PCT on many shows in the future.
Michael Xavier (Seymour)- has appeared in twelve musicals and seven dramas since he first began performing at the age of ten, most recently in LTFR’s production of Blood Brothers as Sammy. Favorite roles include Jack (Into The Woods), Feste (Twelfth Night), and Stan (A Streetcar Named Desire). Mike is employed as an Assistant District Attorney for Bristol County, MA. He is extremely excited to be playing the role of Seymour and thanks his family and friends for their continued support.
Rebecca Lynn Ward (Audrey)- an active participant in PCT and other local community theaters has been on stage since the age of five. Some of her theatrical experiences include Fiddler on the Roof, The Music Man, Oliver, and Going on a Cruise with PCT. This is her first leading role. She is entering her Junior year in high school and looks forward to being on stage.
Kevin Killavey (Dentist)- has been an active participant in theater since he began to speak (and sing shortly following). Kevin has been featured in countless plays ranging from M*A*S*H to Taming of the Shrew and The Hobbit to Cheaper by the Dozen. This is Kevin's fourth play with PCT and he is very excited to be involved again after a brief vacation.
Joseph Wallace (Audrey II)- has been involved in theater for over 20 years (though he doesn't look it because he was born at a very young age). He currently is the drama director for Cranston High East. His most recent acting role was Judge Danforth in LTFR's The Crucible. Joe is a published playwrite, whose credits include Something's Rotten in the State of Denmark, A Wild Boor, and Hush, Little Celia. He currently has "roots" in Fall River with his wife, 2 saplings, and a spore on the way!
Bailey Marie Payer (Do-Wop)- is from Fall River, Massachusetts and goes to Bishop Stang High School. She has been singing since she was eleven. Bailey studies voice with Arlene Cyr. The last production she did with PCT was The Gifts of the Magi in December, 1999.
Kim Sousa (Do-Wop)- has been in chorus for seven years. She takes voice lessons with Arlene Cyr. She has been in Grease as Rizzo for the Case High School Theater Company. She is currently in a singing group called Invincible. This is her first play with PCT.
Laura Young (Do-Wop)- is currently a freshmen at Portsmouth High School. She studies voice with Kate Grana and is actively involved in theater and chorus. She is also a company dancer at Position One School of Dance. Laura was previously involved with PCT's The Gifts of the Magi and hopes to go on to study vocal performance in college.
Laura Brophy (Understudy Do-Wop/ ensemble)- is a Junior at Dighton-Rehobeth High School. She has performed in such shows as Fiddler on the Roof, Lancelot, Fame, The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd, and Blood Brothers. She plans to persue a career in music and dance.
Joshua Gustafson (Understudy Seymour/ Bernstein/ ensemble)- is entering his senior year at Somerset High School and is a board member of PCT. Past experience includes "Dan" in SHS's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lighting Design for PCT's The Mousetrap, and Board Op for PCT's The Dining Room. His other activities include football, wrestling, and track. Josh would like to thank Jay Read for his instrumental role in getting him into theater.
Trish Culver (Mrs. Luce/ ensemble)- was active in community players and musicians while overseas. She sings in the Newport Navy Choristers and Nautical Notes. She greatly enjoys having the chance to get back into theater.
Roger Fournier (Skip Snip/ ensemble)- this is Roger's second appearance with PCT, having previously appeared in Unexpected Broadway in 1997. Roger has also appeared in productions all over Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, most recently as Alfonse in LTFR's The Boyfriend, and in Taunton's Godspell.
Nicole Gomes (ensemble)- is seventeen years old and has recently graduated from Case High School in Swansea, MA. She is currently involved in her own music group named Invincible. She hopes the group will be a success but has a second love of cosmetology to fall back on.
Danielle Parisee (ensemble)- is a thirteen year old seventh grader in Dartmouth Middle School. She has been in two plays with the Sakonnet Players, and has been in Talent America and won first place. She also takes piano and voice from Arlene Cyr and plans to pursue a career in music and acting.
Heather Schloemann (ensemble)- will be a sophmore in Portsmouth High School next year. She has wanted to be an actress since she was little. Having acted in several plays in the Middle School and a member of the High School Band. Her future plans are to attend Juliard in NYC.
Ashley St. Martin (ensemble)- has been involved in chorus at the Spenser Borden school in Fall River. She has also been involved since fifth grade Class Cabaret at Somerset Elementary School. Ashley has also appeared in the children's chorus of PCT's The Gifts of the Magi.
Jessica Valero (tech crew)- resides in Fall River, Massachusetts and will be attending Bishop Connolly High School next year. She has acted in performances by Little Theater of Fall River (LTFR), Janalee Productions, and Leap Frog. Including Singing in the Rain, Oliver, Annie, and several others.
